Erling Haaland's Man City release clause 'worth €150million plus' and more transfer rumours

Erling Haaland has a release clause worth 'significantly more' than €150 million in his new Manchester City contract, according to recent reports.

On Tuesday afternoon, City announced they had reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Haaland — ending a year-long search for Sergio Agüero's replacement. Since then, multiple reports have speculated what type of wages the Norway international will be on, how long his contract will be and if there is potential for him to move to another top European club in the future.

According to the Telegraph, Haaland has a release clause that is 'significantly more' than €150 million in his new contract at City. This was a stipulation put in front of all parties interested in signing the striker this summer, with the Blues reportedly entirely relaxed about it.

Elsewhere, Southampton are exploring a loan move for 19-year-old striker, Liam Delap next season.

The Sun say Ralph Hasenhuttl wants to extend the loan deal of current striker Armando Broja, but faces stern competition from the the likes of West Ham in England and other clubs around Europe. If a deal for the Chelsea loanee was not possible, that would attentions to other targets, and Delap is certainly one of them options.

The young striker scored on his senior debut for City in a third round Carabao Cup clash against Bournemouth almost two years ago, but has been struggling with injuries ever since. The recruitment of Haaland limits Delap's opportunities even further, so a loan deal at this stage would be hugely beneficial.

In other news, the Athletic report Raheem Sterling has not entertained any talks relating to his next steps, but if he does leave City, he is expected to join one of Europe's most decorated teams — with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur not currently in the frame.

Ornstein says that his future will discussed after England's international fixtures in June, with a new deal at the Etihad Stadium only possible if Sterling sees himself as central to Pep Guardiola's plans going forward.

Finally, the Irish Independent claim Everton are eyeing a summer move for young goalkeeper, Gavin Bazunu.

The City loanee has made a massive impression at Portsmouth and now feels ready to challenge for a number one spot in the Premier League. That has put a lot of clubs on standby — including the Toffees — who think he's capable of challenging England goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford. However, McDonnell says City would be keen to add a buy-back clause to any sale.
