Erling Haaland's 11-word reaction to Man City winning Premier League title in debut season

Erling Haaland hailed belief and endeavour as Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions on Saturday.

City knew that the deal could be sealed before their kick-off against Chelsea on Sunday - should Arsenal fall to defeat at Nottingham Forest. And Mikel Arteta's men did just that, with Taiwo Awoniyi's first-half strike proving enough for Forest to see off the Gunners at the City Ground.

It has been a blistering second half to the season from City, who have gone on another remarkable winning streak and never looked back - while booking their places in the final of the Champions League and FA Cup too. Haaland's presence in the front line has taken City to a new level, with him scoring 52 goals in all competitions for his club.

The Norwegian will hope to add to that tally against Frank Lampard's men and claim at least one more trophy before the 2022/23 campaign draws to a close. For now, though, helping City pick up their fifth Premier League title under Guardiola - and third in succession - will do nicely.

It means Haaland has won the Premier League title at the first time of asking following his £54million move from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund last summer.

And the striker has now reacted on Instagram to winning his first league title in England, posting: "Always give your best. Always believe. It pays off. C'MON CITY!"
