Manchester City have officially unveiled Erling Haaland as their first signing ahead of the 2022/23 season for a £51million transfer fee.
Haaland 's transfer was first announced in May, with City finding an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of the striker. Since then, personal terms have been agreed and City have now confirmed the signing of Haaland on a five-year contract.
Haaland has been away on international duty for Norway since bidding farewell to Dortmund, with the striker grabbing five goals and an assist in four UEFA Nations League games. Pep Guardiola 's side were criticised for not bringing in a new striker after Sergio Aguero's departure last season, but their patience has been rewarded with the signing of one of the most dangerous players in football.

Haaland's FIFA 22 profile ranks him as one of the best players in world football, with the Norway international rated 88 out of 99. Only 20 players in FIFA 22 are rated higher than Haaland, though the City man is younger than every player above him.
When compared to other players at Man City, Haaland's 88 rating is the joint third-best at the club, with only Ederson (89) and Kevin De Bruyne (91) rated higher. Ruben Dias (88) and Joao Cancelo (88) are both the same rating as Haaland, whilst the likes of Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling, Rodri, Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez are all rated lower.
Being 88 rated at just 21 years of age showcases just how good Haaland is, but also how good he can become. The Norwegian's potential rating on FIFA 22 is 94 out of 99, the highest at City.
His arrival takes the top spot away from Foden, with the Englishman's potential rating 92 out of 99. His potential rating is also the highest in the entire Premier League, and the second-highest in the whole game. In fact, only Kylian Mbappe has a higher potential (95).
Diving into Haaland's individual FIFA 22 profile, the forward boasts some incredibly high attributes. The Norwegian's best attributes are his finishing (94), shot power (94), sprint speed (93) and strength (93).
His extremely high finishing (94) is joint-second best in the game, with only Robert Lewandowski (95) higher. Haaland is also joint-best for shot power with Cristiano Ronaldo (94), and the second-best in the Premier League for strength.
Overall, Haaland's FIFA 22 profile proves that City now have one of the world's best players on their hands, with the 21-year-old topping the charts in a number of different attributes at the club. Not only is he already one of the best, but his potential rating of 94 overall is the second-highest in the game, showing that he can get even better still under Guardiola's management.
