Manchester United fans are eager for Christian Eriksen to make his competitive return to action against Everton on Saturday lunchtime.
Erik ten Hag confirmed the playmaker would be in the squad to take on the Toffees having not featured since sustaining ankle ligament damage in January’s FA Cup clash against Reading. Eriksen returned to team training this week during a crucial period of United’s season.
Meanwhile, Luke Shaw has been ruled out of the contest with an unspecified issue that forced him off after 37 minutes in Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Brentford. The left-back’s problem is not thought to be long-term although Ten Hag is unsure about when he will return.

Marcel Sabitzer arrived at Old Trafford on January deadline day upon Ten Hag learning that Eriksen’s absence would be long-term. He retains his place in the line-up selected by United supporters after assisting Marcus Rashford’s winner in midweek
