Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag admits he has been impressed with how his new squad have embraced his philosophy and training methods at Carrington.
After dusting off his tactics board for the first time with United last month, the recently-appointed Dutchman and his Cristiano Ronaldo-less squad have landed in Bangkok for the first leg of their pre-season tour. It will also feature stops in Australia and Norway.
As part of his preparations, Ten Hag sanctioned a move for Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia and, as things stand, he remains the only signing made so far this summer. However, the work done at Carrington - by the current group without absent talisman Ronaldo - has been more than enough to enthuse the former Ajax coach.

During a wide-ranging interview with MUFC media, Ten Hag said: "I think it's the way I am [high energy]. I want to bring energy into my team, but I must say the players have done really well.
"They are really focused and they bring that [high energy] for themselves. You see that they enjoy playing football, that they enjoy playing football together and they have been really good together."
Ten Hag added: "I have to construct my team and to improve the team. You can do that in different or more ways and start that out of your philosophy and build that into individuals.
"You are giving them rules and principles, but also for their individual positions, you give them coaching advice. In the end it's about the team results and a better team performance. You give them advice to perform as part of the team and to get team results."
