Erik ten Hag questions Manchester United players' lack of focus after two defeats

Ten Hag Erik ten Hag Manchester United de Gea Brighton West Ham Amad Liverpool Luke Shaw

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag insists David de Gea has had a "good" week but felt he lacked focus with his error against West Ham.

De Gea has been widely criticised after his feeble attempt to stop Said Benrahma's saveable shot contributed to West Ham's 1-0 win over United on Sunday.

Although United are in discussions with De Gea, 32, over a new contract there is uncertainty over his No.1 role beyond this season and the club are interested in Anderlecht goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.
