Erik ten Hag has provided a positive update on Manchester United’s injury list.
United had concerns over as many as 10 players going into their Premier League clash with Brentford on Saturday.
And while Kobbie Mainoo has joined Harry Maguire on the sidelines with a hamstring problem, Ten Hag confirmed Noussair Mazraoui is available after suffering from heart palpitations.
"Injuries do not help, for sure, you need players available to perform,” Ten Hag said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.
“Kobbie and Harry are out for a couple of weeks, but Mazraoui is good news. He has returned on the training pitch and is available tomorrow."
United wingers Amad Diallo (illness) and Alejandro Garnacho (knee) are also available after sitting out international duty for the Ivory Coast and Argentina respectively.
However, Ten Hag is still waiting to select a specialist left-back, with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia not yet fit.
“They are back but we can't force their return and have to do it cleverly. We don't want them to return and quickly drop out, but of course, we hope they come back as soon as possible because this team needs a left-full back."
Manuel Ugarte will be assessed ahead of the Brentford game after limping off during Uruguay’s 0-0 draw with Ecuador.
But Leny Yoro is continuing his rehabilitation from an operation on his foot while Mason Mount is still recovering after suffering a head injury against Tottenham and then picking up a knock.
Bruno Fernandes is available to face Brentford but is suspended for United’s Europa League trip to Fenerbahce on Thursday.
