Erik ten Hag press conference LIVE!
Another new era begins at Manchester United today as Erik ten Hag is officially unveiled as their new manager.
A dismal season concluded on Sunday with defeat at Crystal Palace, their 12th defeat of the season as they recorded their worst-ever points tally of 58, but still qualified for the Europa League.
The size of the job Ten Hag walks into cannot be underestimated, and on Monday the club confirmed Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren had joined as assistant coaches.
Van der Gaag worked with Ten Hag at Ajax, while McClaren - known to United fans for being Sir Alex Ferguson’s right-hand man between 1999-2001 - hired the Dutchman in a similar role when in charge at Twente.
United and Ten Hag are expected to be busy in the transfer market as they ship out deadwood and look to bolster their squad with a much-needed new midfield and reinforcements in defence and attack. The likes of Frenkie de Jong and Kalvin Phillips have already been linked.
