Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has claimed that the Premier League is the best league in the world, admitting the standard of the division has not surprised him since his arrival.
Ten Hag was appointed Reds boss in the summer, replacing interim manager Ralf Rangick at the Old Trafford helm. The 52-year-old, who arrived from Ajax, has enjoyed a decent start to his reign as United boss, with his side currently battling for a top-four spot, while also performing well in Europe.
After a difficult start to the season - with the Reds losing their first two league matches against Brighton and Brentford - the Dutchman's side have been much-improved over the past two months.

Ten Hag, speaking prior to United's Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night, suggested that he has not been surprised by the quality of the English top flight, insisting that only the best achieve success.
"I have not had any surprises since coming here. When I have played sides from the league with Ajax in the Champions League, you need to analyse it and make your conclusions. And what I thought before it, it has been proven," Ten Hag told Amazon Prime.
"The Premier League is the best league in the world with the best managers and the best players, and if you want to survive here, you have to be good."
United face a hectic schedule before the season pauses for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar. The Reds will play seven more times across October and November, in three different competitions.
