Erik ten Hag has hinted that Manchester United might not be done in the January transfer window and could welcome new signings before deadline day.
On Friday, the Red Devils confirmed the arrival of Dutch striker Wout Weghorst on a half-season loan from Burnley. The Netherlands international, 30, had spent the first half of the campaign with Turkish giants Besiktas, forcing United to cough up £2.6million in compensation in order to cut that deal short and bring him to Old Trafford.
Ten Hag had been desperate to sign a new forward before January 31, and after missing out on the likes of Cody Gakpo and Joao Felix to Premier League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea respectively, has finally got his hands on one. But 6ft 6in Weghorst's arrival may not signal the end of the Red Devils' business this month, so long as the "right player" becomes available.
