Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is confident the club will land more of their transfer targets after completing the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro.
The signing of the Brazilian international was confirmed on Friday evening and the midfielder arrived at Old Trafford for the first time on Monday to watch United's spirited defeat of Liverpool. Ten Hag is not resting on his laurels after that display and wants to land several more players.
As Mirror Football exclusively reported this week, United are not slowing down in their transfer plans with the club willing to back the boss to secure several more players who will immediately boost the quality in the starting line-up.
The pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has been ongoing for 16 weeks but United transfer chiefs have travelled to the Catalan capital to attempt to resurrect a deal for the Dutch midfielder after the Blaugrana scheduled a meeting to speed up a sale of the player. De Jong even 'liked' a post showing Casemiro's Old Trafford arrival, hinting at his future plans.
Another player United are actively pursuing is Ajax forward Antony. The Brazilian – the Dutch side's star player last season – is hopeful of rekindling his strong relationship with Ten Hag amid reports that the player's representatives recently travelled to Europe in order to help negotiate a deal earlier this window.
Antony is seemingly open to joining United and posted images of himself watching the Red Devils beat Liverpool on Monday night after he was left out of the Ajax matchday squad this weekend.

Ten Hag discussed transfers after United's win over Liverpool and indicated that he wanted several more top-level players. "You can never tell," said the Red Devils' boss, when asked about future incomings. "We said from the beginning we wanted to bring the right players in and not just any players.
"I think now we have the right player [in new signing Casemiro], I'm sure of that. The window is not closed. You need numbers but not only numbers, you need quality. We gave so much and I think when you bring it on the pitch you will get stronger, physically [and] mentally. If you bring it every three days you need numbers and quality numbers."
Ten Hag continued: "We need more leaders. When you want a winning team, you need more leaders. We have to bring it in every game, not only against Liverpool. We were talking about leadership and we were talking about leadership on the pitch but he [Casemiro] is one as well.
"He knows the game, he knows how to win. In his career he's won so many trophies and that's important to have in your team. Raphael Varane has it, so with him and Casemiro, [Cristiano] Ronaldo has it, you need some as a guidance for young players who didn't achieve the trophies until now, but that's what we want to achieve."
