Erik ten Hag warned Manchester United they must invest this summer if they want to challenge for the title next season.
United did not invest in their squad in January, focusing on the loan signings of Wout Weghorst, Marcel Sabitzer and Jack Butland, while many of their rivals strengthened with new signings.
Despite that, Ten Hag steered United to third place, 15 points behind champions Manchester City, but said the club cannot afford not to invest properly again.
