Erik Jones disqualified after failing post-race inspection at Martinsville

Erik Jones finished 24th in Sunday's NASCAR Cup race at Martinsville, one lap down. Thanks to a fifth-place finish in the opening stage, he managed to score a total of 19 points. Unfortunately for Jones, he will now leave Martinsville with just a single point due to problems in post-race inspection.

While the race-winning No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota of Denny Hamlin was cleared without issue, the No. 43 Legacy Motor Club Toyota of Jones was not so lucky. Jones' car failed to meet the minimum weight requirement, resulting in an automatic disqualification from the event.
