Eric Donovan says he is "gutted" after missing out on tickets for Katie Taylor's 3Arena showdown with Chantelle Cameron next month.
Tickets for the Dublin bout went on general sale on Wednesday morning, but countless boxing fans were left disappointed after not being able to secure a seat at the fight, including recently retired boxer Donovan.
The Kildare native, who retired from the sport last November weeks after being crowned the EU super featherweight champion, had planned to attend Taylor's legendary Madison Square Garden bout with Amanda Serrano last year, but also missed out on that fight due to Covid-19.

He tweeted: "Covid ruined our chance of Katie Taylor vs Serrano in MSG and we missed one of the greatest nights in Irish boxing history. My wife is still not over it. A consolation would have been a homecoming, but not a hope could we get a ticket. Gutted."
Donovan was part of numerous Ireland boxing teams with Taylor over the years and has worked as an analyst for RTE's coverage of the past three Olympic Games.
A number of other boxing fans also took to social media on Wednesday to vent their frustrations with Ticketmaster after not being able to secure tickets for the May 20 event.
One person wrote: "Really bad form from Ticketmaster errors on your presale and now normal sale tickets."
Another commented: "Online since 9 this morning get into the queue. 83 people ahead of me and then the site kicks me out. How can this happen?
Someone else added: "Not working, “something went wrong” apparently, was 900 in the que, now an error occurred when trying to find tickets!!"
Others claimed there were only really expensive tickets left when they got to checkout.
One fan tweeted: "Literally in the Que for Katie Taylor tickets and I get to the payment and there’s only 1500 euro tickets left it would make you sick."
Another person wrote: "I’m at 10.01 through the queue and only tickets available are €523? Wtf."
The reported issues come after fans were also left disappointed on Monday as they attempted to purchase pre-sale tickets for the fight.
Taylor will aim to become a two-weight undisputed champion when she faces Cameron for the Northampton native's super-lightweight belts.
