The government has retained the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) interest rate at 8.25% for FY2025-26, making no change in the rate for the third consecutive year. With the rate now approved, many EPF subscribers are having a common question: When will the EPF interest actually reflect in their PF accounts?
On March 2, 2026, the Central Board of Trustees (CBT) had announced an EPF interest rate of 8.25% for the 2025–2026 fiscal year. However, the EPF interest rate becomes effective when the government ratifies it, which it did on Thursday.
