The Employees’ Pension Fund Organisation (EPFO) on Wednesday credited August pensions to 4,40,901 pensioners in the Keralam Zone amidst Onam celebrations.
According to the Labour Ministry, the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS) 1995 is usually disbursed at the end of the month.
However, in light of Onam celebrations, EPFO released pension on August 26, in advance, to enable pensioners and their families the spending power to celebrate the festival without hindrance.

“The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) credited the pension for August 2026 to the accounts of 4,40,901 pensioners under the Keralam Zone on August 26, 2026, ahead of the festival of Onam,” it stated, adding that the EPFO wishes all its members and pensioners a very happy Onam.
EPFO released pensions through its Centralised Pension Payment System (CPPS), which directly transfers the amount to the bank accounts of beneficiaries.
The pension fund organisation said that it was committed to ensuring timely delivery of social security benefits and strives to improve pension services through technology-enabled initiatives and citizen-centric reforms.
