Entrepreneur set to open new cafe in former Sutton in Ashfield town centre bank

A new cafe is set to open in a former bank building in Sutton in Ashfield. After the town's Yorkshire Bank branch closed, the building was renovated by Ashfield District Council, who split the ground floor into two commercial units.

These units have been let to local entrepreneur Tricia Ironside, who also runs the popular Mill Waters Cafe at Kings Mill Reservoir. From Friday, June 2, she will be opening Rendezvous Café and Bar at the site.

The cafe will also act as a social enterprise, offering training and work experience for learners from Portland College and Vision West Notts College as part of their curriculum. Tricia has worked with students from Vision West Notts College to design the menus and upcycle the furniture for the café.
