As motorbikes become an increasingly popular mode of transport worldwide, there is growing concern about the safety of children who either ride as passengers or, in some cases, as young riders. While motorbikes offer an affordable and efficient way to navigate traffic, they also present significant risks, especially for vulnerable passengers like children. A research on critically injured children as part of TRIP study says that road traffic injuries especially due to motorbikes are the most common reason for PICU admission and carry high death rates.
Ensuring their safety has become a critical issue that parents, guardians, and authorities must address.
