Ensure road safety norms: Kerala HC to officials

KOCHI: The high court has directed for taking steps to ensure road safety after noticing recent accidents involving Sabarimala pilgrims.

A division bench of Justice Anil K Narendran and Justice PG Ajithkumar said contract carriages are violating road safety norms and specifications on use of lighting that affect the concentration of other drivers. This is a potential threat to the safety of passengers and other road users, the court said.
