English fans insist Wales are heading out of the World Cup in new chant on eve of showdown

England fans have come up with a new chant ahead of their side's final World Cup group stage game against Wales on Tuesday night and they seem pretty confident that Gareth Southgate's men will come out on top.

Wales' hopes of reaching the knockout stages of the tournament may now hang by a thread after only picking up one point from their opening two games, but they could still squeeze into the round of 16 if they beat England and the other Group B fixture between Iran and the USA ends in a draw.

Things could get a lot harder if either Iran or the USA win their game, with Rob Page's side then needing to beat the Three Lions by four clear goals in order to progress to the next round.

But according to England supporters' imaginative new chant, Wales don't stand a chance of beating them, with a clip of a chant picking up thousands of views on TikTok in a matter of hours ahead of the game.

Listen to the chant on TikTok below:

Performed in a pub full of Three Lions fans clapping along, the chant goes: "England's on the beers and the Welsh are going home, the Welsh are going home, the Welsh are going home."

The second, even catchier verse, follows. "England's on the beers and the Welsh are going home, the Welsh are going home, the Welsh are going home."

Cue rapturous applause and cheering.

Let's face it, it's no Yma o Hyd.
