Gareth Southgate has handed England debuts to Jarrod Bowen and James Justin in this afternoon’s Nations League opener against Hungary.
The West Ham winger and Leicester full-back both received their first call-ups following excellent club campaigns and have both been thrown straight into the action.
Meanwhile, England will have to cope without Phil Foden after he tested positive for Covid-19 and the Manchester City man is out of Tuesday’s game in Germany too.
Gareth Southgate also faces a shortage of centre-backs as Fikayo Tomori and Marc Guehi won’t feature in Budapest due to pre-existing injuries. Arsenal’s Ben White has already pulled out of the squad.
