Kieran Trippier has detailed a training ground bust-up with a former Celtic star that left him with a scar above his eye after a HEADBUTT.
The Newcastle United star - currently in Qatar on World Cup duty with England - used to play at Burnley under Sean Dyche and at the same time Ross Wallace, who turned out for the Hoops, was also on the books. The full-back - who has played for the likes of Tottenham and Atletico Madrid - played well over a century of games at Turf Moor, just like Wallace.
But one moment that stands out and has left a permanent reminder on the defender is a training ground scrap between the pair. Tensions boiled over with Wallace leaving a lasting impression on the Three Lions defender. The former Celtic man apologised while his team-mate was getting stitched up and they've been fine ever since.

Detailing the incident to the UndrTheCosh podcast, he said: "I think it was Tom Heaton who was kicking the ball out and he (Wallace) was pulling my shirt – I asked him what he was doing and as I turned back to him he’s given me a f***ing little nut in the eye. I’ve still got the scar now above my eye. We had it out on the pitch.
"One thing I didn’t like about that was he did it when I wasn’t looking. So we had it out – and then it was alright after that. It was one of them. In the heat of the moment you want to have it all out on the pitch. I went in to get it stitched and, to be fair, he came in and apologised. It was one of those where it is just not worth it.
"Sean Dyche was fine. He wouldn’t jump in, he was just like let them have it. Ever since then, we’ve been fine. He [Wallace] is good banter. He’s a great guy to be fair Ross. Those incidents happen all the time in football. You just get on with it”.
