NEW DELHI: Defending champions England, who have had a forgettable campaign in ICC World Cup 2023, will take on the Netherlands in a virtually inconsequential match in Pune on Sunday as one team is eliminated from the race to the semi-finals while the other is only mathematically alive.
There is just one semi-final spot up for grabs, which is being closely contested between Pakistan, New Zealand and Afghanistan. The three teams that have confirmed a place in the semis are hosts India, South Africa and Australia.
