Righto, another enthralling day of Test cricket in this series. There is nothing to split these two sides at the moment (okay, two runs). I’ll be back on the tools in the morning. Have a good evening, bye.

In comes Bumrah in his inimitable fashion – stuttering daintily like a shire horse in tap shoes. Zak Crawley leaves the first delivery well alone outside off stump. Some pantomime booooos go around Lord’s. Crawley then steps away from his crease at the last second pointing his bat to something distracting him behind the bowler’s arm. Siraj and some of India’s fielders get stuck into Crawley. A searing ball from Burmah flies into the gloves of Pant but Crawley leaves alone.
DRAMA! Spicy drama! Bumrah thuds a full length ball into Crawley’s bottom glove and the Kent man shakes his hand and calls for some magic spray. Shubman Gill and India’s fielders surround him and protest that he shouldn’t be allowed to have the physio on, India’s captain even making a cross symbol with his arms towards the England dug out. Crawley then gives him a volley back, something along the lines of “you’d do the same, Shubman old bean” and the Umpires intervene. The clock runs down and Crawley has a drink and a finger flex. India will only get the one over as a result and there is just one ball left in the day’s play…
Bumrah beats Crawley with an absolute ripper on a length but Crawley survives and turns on his heels to walk off in one fluid movement! Dramatic scenes at the end of day three but England have a lead of two runs with ten wickets in hand. Phew.
STUMPS: 1st over: England 2-0 (Crawley 2, Duckett 0)
