England star Conor Gallagher has headed for a post-World Cup break with his Irish partner following his country's exit from the tournament.
Gareth Southgate's side crashed out of the World Cup as they lost 2-1 to France at the quarter-final stage last Saturday, with Harry Kane missing a penalty in the 84th minute that would have drawn the sides level.
Cork native Aine May Kennedy travelled to Qatar to support her boyfriend, who didn't manage to get on the pitch for England, and the pair have now jetted off to the Swiss Alps for a holiday before the Premier League season resumes on December 26.

The couple flew into Zurich before a helicopter took them to the alpine resort town of St Moritz.
Sharing a series of photos on Instagram, Aine May wrote: "Ski pass for one."
Gallagher looked on as his partner enjoyed skiing on the slopes, with the Chelsea star presumably not risking injury by taking part, especially after German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was ruled out for the rest of the season after breaking his leg skiing in recent days.
The Bayern Munich shot-stopper said he was trying to get his head clear after Germany exited the World Cup at the group stage.
He wrote on Instagram: "The end of the year could have definitely gone better... While I was trying to get my head clear while ski touring, I suffered a lower leg fracture."
The 36-year-old added: "Surgery went well. Many thanks to the doctors! However, it hurts to know that the current season is over for me."
Aine May and Gallagher's trip to Switzerland comes after she paid tribute to the 22-year-old on social media following England's World Cup exit.
She wrote: "Always by your side. well done king. The journey never ends."
Replying to the post, Gallagher left a number of love heart emojis.
Meanwhile, former Blackpool manager Ian Holloway said he was disappointed not to see Gallagher feature for England at the World Cup.
Speaking before last Saturday's 2-1 defeat to France, Holloway told The Express: "I’ve seen Gallagher go to the World Cup and he hasn’t played yet and I’m a little bit upset because I think that kid has got something special as well when it comes to running and chasing and putting a foot in.
"He made Crystal Palace a much better team than they were without him [during his loan spell last season]. And I hope he gets better and better.
"What I think Gareth Southgate is doing brilliantly is bringing in these wonderful young lads early enough to give us the wonderful enthusiasm we have everywhere."
