As the most romantic occasion of the year is approaching, many people will be looking to whisk their loved one away for the first Valentine's Day since lockdown ended.
It could be a good excuse to forget about the stress of the pandemic and many couples will be looking to plan a short UK break to mark the celebration.
Travel guide website Big 7 Travel has announced its top picks for the Most Romantic Hotels of 2022, compiling a list of stunning places all over the world.

However, one of the 'most romantic hotels in the world' also happens to be an easy commute for people in Bristol.
The Newt in Somerset oozes with luxury and prestige as it is set in a 300 year old Georgian estate that is elegantly nested amongst lakes, orchards and woodlands.
It was the only establishment in England to make it on to the list, with most of the other destinations in exotic locations overseas.
For those who appreciate both the old and new, look no further than this remodelled ancestral home of the Hobhouse family, which has captured the 17th century classical style.
The main house offers 23 guest rooms that is only a short walk from the medieval herb gardens for those serene early morning strolls with your significant other.
The Newt also includes a refurbished farmyard that has been transformed into another home for rooms, as guests will be escorted to its next door spa that contains an indoor-outdoor pool, steam room, sauna and even a gym.
It came in at number 22 on the top 50 list, with the listing enthusing: "All 23 rooms are tastefully kitted out with huge comfy beds to sink into after leisurely days of walking and talking and there’s also spa with an indoor-outdoor pool, sauna and medieval herb garden.
"Best of all is the restaurant, where award-winning chef Ben Champkin invites guests to feast on the estate’s vegetables, cuts from the salt room and fine wines from the cellar."
It is situated between Bruton, Castle Cary and Wincanton, meaning guests will be able explore quaint and historic towns and villages on its doorstep, meandering from ancient landmarks to modern independent shops for a little retail therapy.
While it is known to be popular with Londoners, the location is also just an hour's drive south from Bristol city centre.
As reported last year by Somerset Live, it has become a favourite haunt of rich and famous people looking for an escape to the country.
