England's Danni Wyatt puts herself in limelight ahead of Women's Premier League auction

MUMBAI: Just a few days out from the second Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction on December 9, England’s prolific opener Danni Wyatt, who went unsold last year, served a timely reminder of her mettle when she struck 75 off just 47 balls to help England score a 38-run win over India at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday night.

The WPL auction is scheduled to be held here on December 9, the same day as the second T20I. Having been disappointed at having no takers for her the last time around, Wyatt, who has scored 2,602 runs in 150 T20Is, with two centuries and 13 half-centuries, said she wasn’t thinking about the WPL auction while walking out to bat.
