England face Lewandowski, Germany vs Brazil as 2022 Qatar World Cup draw simulated

The 2022 Qatar World Cup draw takes place on Friday with all of the qualified nations set to find out their group stage opponents and potential routes to the final. Among those teams set to watch with great intrigue will be home nations England, Wales and Scotland.

The Three Lions have already qualified for the showpiece tournament having enjoyed a near-perfect qualifying campaign so will no doubt be aiming to go one further than they managed at Euro 2020. Meanwhile, both Wales and Scotland face one - or potentially two more hurdles - as they too aim to book a ticket to Qatar.

The Tartan Army are yet to take on Ukraine and should they win that game, they are set to take on Robert Page’s Wales for a final play-off tie. Regardless, both countries will be keen to find out who they will potentially play in the group stages.

Away from that, the regular faces of France, Brazil, Germany and many others are set to feature at the tournament - whilst there will also be some lesser-seen nations including the likes of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Canada.

So with all of that being said, football.london has conducted its own draw to see what groups could potentially be drawn and really if any of the home nations could potentially be on track for a memorable winter.

Heading into the World Cup, the most attention will likely be around England and Gareth Southgate ’s men were placed alongside Mexico, Poland and Saudi Arabia in Group G. Meanwhile, Wales and Scotland were placed alongside hosts Qatar in Group A, also being joined by the likes of Uruguay and Serbia.

Elsewhere, all of the home nations managed to avoid some extremely testing groups. Spain and Croatia were partnered in Group C alongside Senegal and the winner of a playoff between the United Arab Emirates, Australia or Peru.

Finally, record-winners Brazil were matched with Germany, Morocco and Costa Rica or New Zealand.
