One of Alex Greenwood's former teachers has opened up on what the England star was like when she was in school.
Clare Murphy-Worrell from Savio Salesian College in Bootle has described the ex-pupil as "unassuming" but extremely talented. Alex attended the school before going on to have a professional career playing for Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City, and is in the squad along with Arsenal forward Nikita Parris, from Toxteth.
The 28-year-old has accumulated 62 caps for the national side and will be hopeful of playing a role after coming off the bench a number of times throughout the Euros.
