England didn't speak to 'outstanding English candidate' before appointing Thomas Tuchel - but Champions League-winning boss was contacted

England announced the appointment of Thomas Tuchel as the men's national team new manager on Wednesday, and now a list of shortlisted bosses has been revealed.

Tuchel is set to officially start as England manager from January 1, 2025, meaning Lee Carsley will remain in interim charge of the side for their final two Nations League games in November.
