Enemy of Shias are enemy of Hindustan, say Shia leaders of Lucknow

LUCKNOW: Calling Pakistan the stronghold of terrorism, the Shia leaders in Lucknow said enemy of Shia are enemy of Hindustan.

On Saturday, Shia ulemas from across the country will participate in the fourth Ahl-e-Bait conference to pay homage to victims of 26/11 Mumbai attack and discuss the roadmap to tackle the nefarious acts of hurting the religious sentiments of Shia Muslims.

The conference is being organised by All India Shia Hussaini Fund (AISHF) at Shia college, Naqkhas.

"The objective of this conference is to promote communal harmony and oppose terrorism. After Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria, now Iran which was one of the safest place of Shia is on the target of terrorists. Lahore is sending anti-social elements in Lucknow to hurt the sentiments of Shia," said Maulana Saif Abbas.

There are eight crore Shia pollution in the country of which majority lives in Uttar Pradesh.

General Secretary of all India Shia personal law board (AISPLB), Maulana Yasoob Abbas said: "Pakistan has become the centre of terrorism, where terrorist organizations like Sipah e Sahaba and Al-Qaeda are being nurtured and they continue to target Shia community."

"In 26/11 Mumbai attack, terrorist of Pakistan killed innocent people including Hindu, Muslim, Christian and others. In the Ahl-e-Bait conference we will pay homage to victims of the cowardly attack," he said.

Expressing concern over the growing tentacles of terrorism across the world, Maulana Jafar Abbas said, "Saudi Arabia plays a major role in promoting terrorism. Terrorist organisation of Pakistan receive funds from Saudi to kill innocent people."

Mehdi Hassan, secretary of AISHF, said that "one of the objectives of Ahl-e-Bait conference is to spread message of peace and follow the path of Prophet-e-Islam Hazrat Mohammad and his Ahl-e-Bait (family members)."

"There is no religious freedom even in so-called Islamic countries like India has. Over here Shia openly perform Azadari for two months and eight days, whereas in Saudi Arabia it is banned and in Pakistan terrorist launch attacks on Azadari processions and Majlis. Enemy of Shia is enemy of Hindustan," said Mehdi Hassan.

While Maulana Ijaz Attar raised demands from the union government to put diplomatic pressure on the Saudi Arabian government for the reconstruction of "Jannatul Baqi".

He said that the Islamic State is targeting Iran after destroying Iraq and Syria. Terrorist attack in Shiraz's Shah Cherag in October is a latest example.
