Owen Hargreaves believes Antony needs to increase his output going forward after a game of near-misses in Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday.
The Brazilian provided his second Premier League assist of the season for Anthony Martial’s opener on 32 minutes but perhaps should have found the net himself on a number of occasions. His most optimal chance for a goal came when he headed over from close range minutes before the goal.
Antony has just four Premier League goals and only bagged his first assist in the competition in last month’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, when he also recorded his first league strike since October.

The £85m deadline day signing has scored a further four in other competitions this term, as well as an extra assist. The 23-year-old has put in some notable displays this season but has also been criticised for not having enough influence on a consistent basis having played 42 matches in all.
The winger has an exciting amount of potential but Hargreaves believes he will need to start fulfilling that more as time goes on. Speaking to Premier League Productions at half-time in United’s win over Wolves, he gave his assessment of the former Ajax man.
He said: “Antony can always do more, his end product is missing. He needs to find a way to do more.”
The win over Wolves means United have extended their gap to Liverpool in fifth to four points having played the same amount of games, ahead of the Merseysiders' trip to Leicester on Monday.
Hargreaves believes United fans will be delighted with Erik ten Hag’s debut season with an FA Cup final with Manchester City on the horizon.
At full-time, he added: “It’s a good season for Manchester United, they are heading in the right direction. They are in contention to win two trophies and finish in the top four and any fan would have taken that.”
