Three Army soldiers personnel were killed in an encounter with militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday, August 4, 2023, officials said.
Officials said the encounter broke out in Halan forest area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday when a joint team of Police and army cordoned off the forest area.
“Three jawans got injured in the encounter. They succumbed during treatment.. search operations are continuing,” an Army spokesman said.
The official said reinforcement has been rushed to the area and the search operation has been intensified.
The encounter comes a day after a missing soldier was recovered in the district.
