Racing fans are sharing their delight at an announcement superstar Enable has produced her first foal.
The winner of more than £10 million in prize money gave birth on Friday afternoon, Juddmonte Farms announced.
An adorable picture of the youngster, a colt by Kingman, was shared widely on social media.
Enable can be seen nuzzling up to the white-faced new arrival, who is just a few hours old.
A press release read: “Juddmonte are delighted to announce that Enable has given birth to a strikingly-marked colt foal by Kingman at 3.54pm on Friday, February 11, the day before her own birthday.
“Enable has taken to her maternal duties extremely well.
“Special moments are worth the wait!”
Enable was retired from racing in October 2020 after winning 15 of her 19 career starts.
Her big race CV included the 2017 English and Irish Oaks, the 2018 Breeders’ Cup Turf and three renewals of the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.
She took the autumn highlight, the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, twice in 2017 and 2018, finishing runner-up when racing for the hat-trick under Frankie Dettori.
Connections called it a day after a sixth-place finish French Group 1 race in 2020 – and sent her to a top class stallion as she started out as a broodmare.
Kingman won four times at the top level on the track in 2014 for the same owner, the late Khalid Abdullah.
The sire of top class horses like Palace Pier and Persian King, he has already made a flying start to his career at stud.
Fans have noted his progeny have inherited his natural speed, which blends with Enable's stamina.

Many will be excited to see the foal begin its journey into racing – and if the impressive bloodlines are matched by the performances on the track.
One person tweeted: "The day before Frankel was born as well all those years ago. Can we dare to dream that he'll be as good?"
Another added: "Amazing. She has that maternal love in her eyes. He's going to be an absolute superstar!"
And a third said: "2025 2000 Guineas winner."
