Emotional royals hold back tears as Queen's grandchildren hold moving vigil

Sophie Wessex looked tearful as she watched her two children take part in a vigil for their grandmother the Queen as she lies-in-state. Lady Louise Windsor, 18, and brother James, Viscount Severen, 14, joined Prince Harry and Prince William for the emotional tribute on Saturday at Westminster Hall.

Her Majesty's other grandchildren - Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie - stood round the coffin with their mother watching from the sidelines, the Mirror reports. The reunited brothers, William and Harry, who both wore military uniforms, stood in silence during the vigil, with their heads bowed as mourners walked by to show their respects.

Prince William stood at the head of the coffin with Prince Harry at the foot, as they emotionally paid tribute to the monarch. All royal cousins wore black "morning coat and dark formal dress with decorations" to honour the longstanding royal tradition.
