On Monday (December 19) episode of Lorraine Helen Skelton appeared after she finished as Strictly's runner-up 2022. Helen said: "I feel like I have just been spat out a tumble dryer and it will take me a while to come down from that because it was just the most wonderful experience in every ever possible way and I'm just so grateful to have been on that adventure."

Helen Skelton had been seen to send a message to her ex with her risky, sexy and attitude packed final dance as she waved into the camera while a very symbolic lyric played, in the Strictly final. Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas spotted the 'message it sends' as she praised Helen Skelton for her symbolic gesture to the camera while the lyric 'you're better off without me' was played over the dance.

Shirley had said: "It's as though you have been set free, but you have allowed yourself to feel free again."

Helen responded to the comment on Lorraine this morning, she said: "I think when I went into Strictly I thought it was just a bit of dancing and they kept saying to me 'own it, believe it, leave your heart and soul on the dance floor,' and if you're not in that world - I kept saying what are you talking about, I own a house, I own a car, I don't get it. I think what they are always saying that they were backing and pushing me and just go for it and leave it all out there. And we did, and I'm so grateful that we did."

Ranvir Singh expressed how proud of Helen viewers are, she said: "We are so proud of you Helen you took everybody's heart along with you," before commenting on how emotional the journey is.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Helen Skelton got emotional as she admitted dance partner Gorka Marquez has “helped her remember who she is.” Ahead of their performance on Saturday, viewers got an insight into their rehearsals with a pre recorded clip. The pair sat down and Gorka admitted: “I am so proud of you and you will leave here a happier person.”

Helen broke into tears and said: “You can see how different I am.” Gorka could be seen whipping a tear from her face as Helen continued: “You have helped me remember who I am and that is the biggest thing because you put faith in me that I didn’t have.”

The TV star added: "I am so grateful to that man he is a credit to that show and a credit to his family."

Ranvir Singh said: "We all saw you mending a completely broken heart live on TV week after week, just slowly putting your heart back together - I think that's why everybody wanted you to win for them, so many people have been through hat you have been through and you represented them, so many people who needed to put their life back together. I applaud you for what you have done."

Helen responded: "I just wanted to make my kids proud and every day I have been going to work over the last three months they have said are you trying to win the glitter ball mummy and I've said I'm trying to win the glitter ball baby. So yeah we didn't quite bring home that trophy but we made memories that will last a life time.

"If I could bottle the energy from Saturday night that would get me through any dark day because it was just the most wonderful feeling and it goes to show what happens when you surround yourself with good people."
