Carol Vorderman is remembering her mother following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The star took to Instagram on the weekend to share a message to her followers, pairing it with a video clip of BBC coverage of the Queen's coffin leaving Balmoral ahead of its six-hour journey to Holyrood House on Sunday.
She wrote: "As the Queen's coffin begins its long journey from Balmoral to Edinburgh, and then onto London, there will be many of us who will shed tears for those we lost, particularly for our mothers and fathers and grandmothers and grandfathers and Uncles and Aunts who were born and lived through similar decades to Her Majesty. They saw the biggest changes the world has ever known, bigger than our generations will ever see.
"I'm remembering my Mum right now as I'm sure you're remembering those you loved too. May the journey be calm, and may we remember them all as we know they would want to be remembered. Tears of grief, and also- for the joy of having loved them fully."

The post, which has (at time of writing) received 7,650 likes, saw a number of comments from the former Countdown star's followers, as well as messages from other celebs. Ian 'H' Watkins, from Steps, wrote: "Huge hugs lovely x", while Ben Ofoedu simply shared broken heart emojis.
Another follower wrote: "4 years today since my mum passed away. I was privileged to hold her hand as she breathed her last.
"She gave me life and it was totally fitting for me to be there for her last breath. Grief is the price of love, RIP your Majesty".
Another tribute read: "You're quite right Carol. The Queen reminded me of my own Grandmother.
"She defined a generation as well. I had an encounter with the Queen when I was ten, she came to open my dad's place of work and my dad spoke to her.
"I was stood next to him with the Queen in front of us. It was awe inspiring. Later that day, I ran after her car and waved and she waved back at me.
"I still have that image in my mind. She was lovely. And I serve her in the Air Force. I'm gutted."
