Emmerdale fans have "worked out" why Priya Sharma might leave the village.
Actress Fiona Wade, who has been playing Priya since 2011, announced in October last year that she would quit the show. This week, fans are set to find out what exactly sends Priya running from the village.
During tonight's episode, Priya was forced to relive being trapped in the maze fire which left her with severe burns at the time. Her trauma is triggered after a candle accidentally sets a wedding veil on fire during a Take a Vow event.
Priya can be seen freezing in fear before running off, leaving business partner Leyla Cavanagh to salvage the situation. Fans now think this is the start of Priya's exit which will end up with her taking a job in London.
However, some said her response to the fire didn't quite make sense, while others complained that her storyline seemed rushed.
