Emmerdale viewers 'work out' Amelia's baby daddy after big hint

Emmerdale viewers are convinced they have worked out who the father of Amelia's baby is after being given a big hint during tonight's episode.

Teen Amelia Spencer is currently facing a life-changing decision after finding out she was pregnant. The news came as a shock to the 15-year-old who thought her dizzy spells and blurred vision were due to taking a weight syrup.

However, after fainting while babysitting Gabby Tate's son Thomas, doctors at the hospital told Amelia that she was expecting. Viewers have been desperate to figure out who the baby's father could be ever since.

Following tonight's episode, which saw Amelia visit an abortion clinic to discuss her options and to find out how far along she was, those watching were given a big hint. While speaking to the doctor, Amelia revealed the baby's father was "a teen like me".

Many are now convinced that means Noah Dingle, who is currently locked up for stalking, is out of question, leaving two other, more likely contenders. Taking to Twitter, fans shared their speculations and theories.

Riley Collins commented: "Okay - Noah’s not ‘a teenager’ so that puts him out the picture slightly. Only possible people right now are Samson or Heath."

Chris P wrote: "It has to be either Samson, Noah or an as yet unknown that will get introduced in a daft plot cos ED don't do good anymore."

Michaela wrote: "It’s too obvious to be Noah so I’m going completely out there and say Heath's the dad." Doreen Morfitt said: "I've just had a thought - Amelia's baby daddy isn't Heath is it? Cos he's about the same age as her."

Michelle Reid however, put out a more controversial guess, saying: "My money is on Kit being the father of Amelia's baby. Watch this space."

Heath Hope is not often seen on screen. The youngster, who is Cathy's brother, is the same age as Amelia.

It comes after actress Daisy Campbell teased that fans will be "shocked" by an upcoming twist for her character. The 18-year-old said Amelia will now have to decide whether she will go through with an abortion.

Speaking to Metro, she said: "I think the stuff that’s coming up will maybe shock a lot of the audience. I can’t give too much away but I think for Amelia this is her time to really grow up in the show.

"Obviously she’s been in the show since she was younger so everyone’s always seen her as this kid. I think now she’s really going to change."

During this week's episodes a resident will also find out about Amelia's secret as well as her due date. Spoilers reveal that Amelia will bump into Charity Dingle after her appointment at the clinic and the overwhelmed teen decides to confide in her.
