Emmerdale viewers have been left with mixed emotions following a double proposal during the latest episode.
Gabby Thomas and nanny Nicky have been seeing each other for a few weeks now but have kept it a secret from their loved ones. However, during tonight's episode, April 3, the couple decided to share their relationship with Gabby's mum Bernice Blackstock.
Things didn't quite go to plan and Nicky surprised everyone when he got down on one knee and asked Gabby to marry him. While Bernice seemed delighted by the news, Kim Tate, who was also present, wasn't pleased.

After an ecstatic Gabby said "yes", Kim told her: "I can't believe you are entertaining this insanity. You wanted to make something of yourself, to have a career.
"If you want my advice, and you always have done, you better get rid of him now and we can all move on."
Things soon turned sour, especially when Nicky questioned Gabby's true reason for saying yes. However, the couple quickly made up and Nicky once again popped the question.
With a wedding on the cards now, viewers have become suspicious about Nicky's true intentions. Some believe he also "gave himself away" tonight with an off-hand comment about Kim's son.
@TwellyWatcher wrote on Twitter: "I dunno there’s something about Nicky that I’m still not sold on. It was very spontaneous to propose to Gabby after being together for such a short time.
"And he said to Kim 'I love her more than your son ever did', how would he know about Jamie? (Unless Gabby said so)."
@cassam101 said: "Nicky must have a reason for proposing to Gabby. He obviously has to move things along for some part of a plan."
@unsworth1live agreed, saying: "They’ve literally been seeing each other for days & now he’s proposing! When’s the wedding, next episode? Nicky’s up to something."
@1stLadyHooligan fumed: "Gabby is too thick & desperate to wonder about Nicky's U turn, but Lydia should be a different story."
@ifeelflames asked: "Anyone else think Nicky & Caleb are working together to get hold of all the shares of home farm? I’m wondering if they’re father & son."
