Emmerdale fans cringed as they sat through "awkward" scenes during Friday's episode.
Suzy Merton moved to the village fairly recently, turning the head of Vanessa Woodfield with the pair quickly forming a relationship. And it soon became apparent that Leyla Cavanagh knew Suzy, too.
During a date between Vanessa and Suzy, Leyla entered the Woolpack. Leyla told Vanessa they knew each other through work but something was clearly up.

Later episodes revealed they had used drugs together recreationally. Recent instalments of the soap have shown Leyla struggling with a cocaine addiction and even searching Suzy's bag in the hopes of getting her next fix.
Amid the drama, Suzy has also recently opened up to Leyla over her secret past with Moira's daughter Holly Barton who died from a drug overdose in 2016. Leyla was surprised to hear that Suzy gave money to Holly in her final hours alive. Holly used this cash to buy heroin, with tragic consequences.
Scenes that aired on Friday showed Moira telling Suzy about her late daughter in the café. And many at home found watching uncomfortable.
Taking to Twitter, Ryan G said: "Suzy and Moira oh god this is awkward". Mike said: "That was horrible from Suzy listening to Moira talk about Holly when she knew exactly what she did."
Lydia said: "These scenes with Suzy and Moira are awkward af". Pete Leo said: "Wouldn't like to be in Suzy's shoes when Moira finds out about her secret."
