Emmerdale viewers will see the moment Al Chapman died in special flashback scenes to air on Monday night - as his killer Kyle Winchester, aged 10, relives the horrifying murder.
Cain Dingle's young son was revealed to be Al's true killer on Friday night, after Cain pled guilty following his arrest.
Now, new scenes in a special flashback sequence will show the moment Kyle shot and killed Al, as the soap reveals the details surrounding what happened.
Monday's episode will see Kyle and Cain both reliving the horror that unfolded last week, as Cain's wife Moira Dingle reels from the shocking truth.
But someone else is about to learn the full facts too it seems, as Kyle's mother Amy Wyatt will find her life changed forever when her young son spills the beans.
Moira breaks down as Cain argues he was doing what was necessary to protect his son, by taking the blame and pleading guilty to the charge.
As she struggles with the devastating and life-changing news, she tells Cain that the truth is worse than the lie.
Cain feels helpless about their situation, and he is left uncertain whether he will be able to count on his wife to keep this massive secret as she falls apart in front of him.
Little does he know that someone else could be about to expose the crime, as Kyle opens up to his mum Amy.
Al was the fiancé of Amy's mother Kerry Wyatt, and Kerry is struggling in the fallout of her loss.
So will the truth lead to Amy telling her mother what really happened, or will she keep her son's secret?
Moira actress Natalie J Robb teased what was ahead for the family and the plot, as the shocking truth is exposed.
She said: "Moira is shocked to the core by Cain's confession. I think deep down she knew something wasn't quite right but she had no idea that Kyle had been involved in the shooting."
She added: "I think the audience will really sympathise with Moira's dilemma. She will do everything she can to keep her family together, Kyle may not be hers by blood but she sees him as her own. She has a lot of extremely difficult decisions to make.
"This is a fascinating story to play as there are so many twists and turns that will cause a ripple effect to other characters in the village that are not yet aware of the true circumstances.
"Moira, as a mother and a wife, has such a turbulent time ahead which is great as an actress to get stuck into."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-ling episode on Thursdays.
