Emmerdale aired the moment Chloe Harris confronted Chas Dingle over Al Chapman's affair on Wednesday night.
But in a twist, Chloe got the wrong woman and told Chas who she thought Al had been sleeping with.
What Chloe did not realise was she was sharing her findings with Al's real secret lover, with few residents knowing the truth.
Instead, Chloe claimed to have worked it all out and exposed who she believed the woman to be - only to get it very wrong.
Chas didn't exactly tell her otherwise though, continuing to cover up her betrayal and trying to throw Chloe off the scent.
It was Moira Dingle who Chloe thought was Al's mystery woman, weeks on from discovering he was cheating on her mum Kerry Wyatt.
Al was killed off last month after being shot by 10-year-old Kyle Winchester, while his dad Cain Dingle took the blame.
Chloe believed Cain had found out his wife Moira was having a fling with Al, and possibly plotting to run away.
The pregnant teen told Chas that Cain must have shot and killed Al in revenge, and that this was why Moira has since fled the village.
Of course viewers know Moira is trying to find missing Kyle, who fled the village with his mother Amy Wyatt, Chloe's sister, following the shooting.
No one else in the village, asides Mackenzie, knows about Kyle and that Cain is innocent.
Chloe knows that Al bought a house for him, his mystery woman and her child, while she also knows about his secret dates and nights in hotel rooms.
So now, she believes Moira was that mystery woman and that Cain killed Al as a result - as she remains unaware of the truth.
Chas did nothing to deny Moira possibly being the secret lover, and despite nearly confessing she did not do this.
She had said: "Chloe please... I'm so sorry," believing Chloe had worked out it was her.
So when she declared her guess as Moira, a stunned Chas begged her not to tell anyone else about what she knew, clearly fearing it would get back to her.
She urged Chloe to drop it and do "what was best for Kerry" by not exposing Moira.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
