Emmerdale stars share young ITV co-star's 'annoying' habit during killer Kyle plot

Emmerdale stars Natalie J Robb and Natalie Ann Jamieson have opened up about working with young actor Huey Quinn, who plays Kyle Winchester on the ITV soap.

The Emmerdale actors, who play Moira Dingle and Amy Wyatt respectively, praise the newcomer’s ability on the emotional storyline, but also shared his ‘annoying’ habit on the Emmerdale set.

Natalie J Robb and Natalie Ann Jamieson explained that Huey ‘has an eye’ for the best camera angles after growing up on set.

Jamieson gushed in a recent interview: “Huey has been amazing. He’s been so good.

“When they first gave him the storyline, he had a bit of tuition to help him ease into moving from doing what the children usually do, which is popping in and out, to having something big that was demanding a lot from him.

Both stars agreed Huey has been ‘a joy’ to have on set (ITV)

“He just eased into it so well that now he just tells us what to do – and that’s the way I like it to be honest!”

Robb then went on to share details of the budding star’s ‘really annoying’ habit of learning both Moira and Amy’s dialogue in the script as well as his own.

She said: "He always knows our lines as well, it’s really annoying. And, because he’s grown up around [acting] now he genuinely does have a love for it.

"Huey watches them line the shots and watches the camera lenses and he's like, 'That's a good shot'. So he’s getting an eye for it in different ways, which is really lovely to see."

Jamieson added: "He knows where the cameras are, so he knows when he has to be serious and when he can be a little bit naughty. Which again is fantastic!"

Both stars agreed Huey has been ‘a joy’ to have on set, as Robb added: "We're very lucky, actually."

Jamieson laughed, adding: "Because Huey watches the show now that he's getting a bit older, he has an impression of pretty much all of us. So he can do all the cast members."

The young actor featured in a series of heavy-hitting scenes on Friday evening, as his character Kyle finally confessed to his murder of Al Chapman.

The 10-year-old pitched up at the police station alone on the ITV soap after his newfound uncle Caleb planted a suggestion in his head.

Holding a plastic bag up to a police officer, Kyle said he had evidence he was responsible for the murder his dad Cain Dingle is currently behind bars for.
