Emmerdale star Rosie Bentham has revealed details on a "crazy" and "unexpected" twist in a new storyline for her character Gabby Thomas.
New ITV soap spoilers have revealed Gabby will clash with Kim Tate, the grandmother of her baby son Thomas, ahead of the christening.
But it seems events will take a turn, with the storyline "literally ending in blood, sweat and tears" according to Gabby actress Rosie.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press, Rosie discussed all on the recent Jamie Tate death twist, as well as a looming storyline involving her character.
Promising "good" scenes ahead, she revealed she couldn't wait to see how fans reacted to the big twist.
She explained: "Yeah I was not expecting this twist at all, so I know the audience is gonna be really, really shocked.
"It's really interesting and what to come from it, it’s left quite open about what’s gonna happen."
On viewers seeing the twist, she promised there was a lot more to come and said: "Oh yeah definitely, I can't wait to read people’s reactions as well, I haven't told my mum and my mum watches it every night and I know what her text is gonna be.
"'What? How has this happened?' but no it's gonna be really good."
On the twist, she teased: "The christening event happens and it all goes crazy. It’s a lot, goodness me when I get the scripts now it's always something different.
"Yesterday we filmed some fresh stuff and yesterday we had all these scenes that literally ended in blood, sweat and tears, this storyline ends in blood, sweat and tears and it is just crazy."
Rosie also discussed the recent Jamie twist that, last September, saw him seemingly die in a car crash.
He was later confirmed to be alive, having faked his death, but his mum Kim and baby mother Gabby have yet to find this out.
While it's been teased the storyline will be revisited, Rosie said Gabby has no reason to believe that her former fling is still alive.
She said: "She is now sure he is dead, the whole thing was such a rollercoaster. Kim going insane about whether he was alive, whether he was dead and Gabby watched what she was doing with Millie and confusing a child like that.
"We haven't seen him, we haven’t heard from him, she gave birth without him, now it’s got to the point she knows now that Jamie did not have feelings for her.
"At one point she was in love with him, then she hated him, she could be a bit scared of him, and then she felt guilty for his death.
"She's gone through all this and she’s got to the point now she thinks he's dead, he's forgotten, let's move on from it."
