Emmerdale is lining up big scenes later this year, as the ITV soap celebrates its 50th birthday.

Now, Marlon Dingle actor Mark Charnock has spilled that having seen the scripts for the big episodes, there's "sensational" scenes ahead.

Rhona Goskirk actress Zoe Henry confessed she had no idea what was in store for her character or others, as the scripts have only just been released to the cast.

Few details have been revealed about the storylines and the anniversary itself, with much more to be revealed soon.

Zoe explained to The Mirror and other press: "We don't know. That's the bottom line. You only get served the scripts that you're in. So I don't think that I know, genuinely."

"So obviously, it's sensational. It is one of them... ‘oh woah!’."
