Emmerdale fans were in meltdown on Wednesday night, when actor Danny Miller teased a comeback for him and one other past character.
Robron fans were left pleading for the return of Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden, three years on from Robert asking for a divorce while in prison.
Fans have always hoped the pair would return to the village despite Robert's prison stint, after actor Ryan Hawley left the soap in 2019.
Danny's character Aaron left in 2021 before returning briefly in 2022 when his sister Liv Flaherty was killed in the storm.
While no return has been confirmed for either character, Danny posted on social media this week about teaming up with a familiar face.
Eventually, he posted a snap of his reunion with actor and pal Ryan and teased they were working together again.
While he revealed they were working on a new project, it did not stop fans predicting and hoping that a comeback for Aaron and Robert was on the way.
Aaron actor Danny shared a snap of the pair of them together, with the caption: "Great to catch up with @ry_hawley reminiscing about old times and talking about our next chapter," along with a side-eye emoji.
Fans following him on Instagram saw the post and immediately begged Danny and Ryan to return to the ITV soap, saying the show "needed them".
Other fans speculated there could be a Robron spin-off in the works, with some convinced them teaming up had to be Emmerdale related.
One fan commented: "Best pic ..so great to c u both together again..can't wait to find out wot u got planned..Robron reunion perhaps??? Love u guys."
Another asked: "Is Robert @ry_hawley coming back to #Emmerdale," as a third fan posted: "ITS ROBRON REUNITED."
A fourth viewer commented on the Instagram picture: "Hope your coming back...love this couple," as a fifth fan agreed: "I hope you two are going to come back it's not the same with out you love the photo."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
