Emmerdale star Rosie Bentham has said that playing her character Gabby in the soap has helped her to cope with her dad's death.
Rosie, whose on-screen vicar dad Ashley died in 2017 after a battle with dementia, lost her own dad just a week after her 18th birthday. It was a tragic case of life mirroring art for the young actress, reports the Mirror.
Her dad, John, was also a vicar. He died of a pulmonary embolism, otherwise known as a blood clot, in 2019.
