Former Emmerdale star Max Parker has swapped the Yorkshire Dales for the Marine Corps as he joined the cast of a new Netflix series.
The actor will be starring alongside 13 Reasons Why star Miles Heizer and Bates Motel's Vera Farmiga in comedy-drama The Corps.
Emmerdale fans will best know Max for his role as Luke Posner in the ITV hit soap between August 2019 and June 2021.

The series will follow Miles, who portrays 'underdog character' Cameron, a gay, bullied teenager as he decides to join the US Marine Corps with his straight best friend, Ray.
It's a dangerous move as being gay in the military meant jail time or worse and the series joins a platoon of young men on a harrowing journey of transformation.
There, they will meet Max's character, an elite Recon Marine named Sgt. Sullivan, who is highly respected and has undergone numerous top-secret missions, OK! reports.
But despite his success, Sullivan struggles to keep his own secret under wraps. Haunted by his past, he sees himself in Cameron and tries to prepare him for the same personal war he’ll face beyond boot camp.
While a release date has not yet been confirmed, the drama series will feature ten episodes and comes from Norman Lear’s ACT III Productions and Sony Pictures Television.

Sharing the news to his Instagram in celebration, Max wrote: "Pinch me doesn’t cut it! LETS GO".
Despite going on to pursue a new role, Max has never fully ruled out a return to Emmerdale, with a source telling The Sun at the time of his departure that there was "always a chance he could return one day".
And it's no surprise that the soap is close to his heart, with Max meeting his now fiancé, Kris Mochrie, on the show.
