Emmerdale star Louise Jameson confirms the fate of her character Mary as storm hits the village

An Emmerdale star has seemingly confirmed she survives this weekend’s huge storm.

On Sunday, October 16 Emmerdale will be celebrating 50 years with a dramatic special episode. Viewers have been told to expect movie-level stunts in the shocking scenes due to air at 7pm in an hour-long edition.

Bosses have warned fans they might be saying goodbye to some village favourites. One who looks likely to survive the drama is Mary Goskrik played by Louise Jameson.

The Metro reports, the acting star ‘thinks’ her character will be safe when the storm leaves the village. Louise said: “I think everyone in soapland worries when they hear there’s going to be a hurricane or a storm.

“I think I’m doing a lot of anxious, worried mother acting, praying Zoe Henry’s character (daughter Rhona Goskirk) is going to make it home safe. That’s my main storyline.”

Ahead of the major milestone, we’ll bring you any further news or gossip we discover about what might be happening. Emmerdale fans will want to get glued to their TV screens on Sunday evening because before the anniversary episode there will be a special documentary charting the soap’s history.
